Willoughby's faint hopes of sneaking into the top two promotion spots in their final game of the season were dashed as hosts Southam wrapped up the Division 3 title in convincing fashion.
Batting first, the visitors - fielding 4x Under 15 players - were bowled out for only 74 with Ceri Roberts opening making a top score of 31 as no other WCC bat could make it into double figures.
In reply, Southam made short work of reaching their target and claiming top spot, making 78 for 2 off only 9.1 overs; Mark Fell and Dan Farrow both picking up wickets.
Despite the defeat, it has been encouraging season on a Wednesday for the club and a vast improvement on matters both on and off-the-field to that of recent years, with the co-captaincy of Sean Thornton and Ash Rayner almost guiding us to a promotion in what was a three-way battle with Southam and runners-up Barby.
