From the weekend...

A win and two defeats from three weekend games

A mixed bag of results over the weekend for the club but some enjoyable and entertaining cricket all the same.

A five wicket haul for skipper Ben Hollis was not enough to prevent defeat for the 1st XI away at last year's champions Syresham.

The news was better at The Green where a maiden half century from Jake Quinney and wickets for fellow youngsters Archie McMillan and Dan Farrow went some way to a comfortable win over Dunchurch & Bilton Cricket Club 2nds

On Sunday, there was frantic arrangements and a late change of opponents (due to our scheduled opposition Massey Ferguson pulling out overnight), nevertheless we were pleased to welcome back our friends at Crick Lions for the second week running. They too were let down by their intended opposition but with our own Ben Hollis and Alex Proudman added to their ranks, they made a quick return to The Green and it was the visitors who prevailed on this occasion by 53 runs.
