Willoughby Ladies are the 2021 Warwickshire Ladies Tip and Run League KO Cup Champions after a close fought win over neighbours and rivals Barby.

By luck of the draw, the Final was played at The Green and brought good support for both sides who saw Willoughby bat first, making 94 for 6 off their 16 overs. Julie and Becky top scored with 32 and 29 respectively, with Minnie adding 10 later down the order. Barby saw Louise, Amy and Elena all take a wicket alongside three run-outs.

In reply, Barby had opener Molly make 27 and Lucy and Amy make 15 and 16 respectively, but Willoughby kept chipping away and keeping the run rate in check, Abi Q taking two wickets with Becky taking one.

As the run rate increased in the closing overs, 17 runs were required off the last two overs and nine off the final over, and although Louise made 20 not out, Barby fell short by 4 runs earning Willoughby a deserved victory.
