Our club captain Ben Hollis (52 not out retired) the took charge hitting the ball hard around the ground and graciously retiring once he got his 50 . A good middle order of attacking play including youngster Aiden Porter (25) saw the home team reach 187 for 7.
The Hanks brothers Callum (2 for 24) and Justin (1 for 31) opened the bowling keeping the runs under control whilst taking wickets. Mark Fell (3 for 23) bowled more tight middle overs including a one handed caught and bowled speciality. Young player of the year Michael Deery (1 for 55) bowled the difficult overs before Nirmay Patel (1 for 18) and spin twin partner Ambrose Deery (2 for 6) wrapped up the game with the visitor ending on 147 all out
