A beautiful summer's evening at The Green on Tuesday saw Willoughby overcome neighbours Barby.

Batting first, Willoughby struggled initially reaching 36 for 4 at halfway, but some fine batting coupled with clever running from Ed Wiltshire (15 no) together with William Woodbridge (15) and then Rory Campbell (11 no) took the hosts into three figures, this in the face of some keen and useful Barby fielding.

In reply, Barby lost a couple of quick wickets with the wicketless Kieran Vaghela and Luke Norman - taking 2 for 5 from his spell, bowling well. The visitors then recovered adding runs, but a hat-trick from Woodbridge (catches for 9 year-old Joe Hillman and via impressive wicket-keeping of Nathan Griffiths) and three wickets - all bowled, for Prakar Gupta eventually saw Barby all out for 53.

Credit to both sides for good keen performances backed by impressive support from both clubs.
