Hat-trick of Cup Final successes for Willoughby Ladies

Willoughby Ladies made it three cup wins in a row in the Tip & Run League when they beat Southam in this year's very close run Final.

Southam batted first achieving a total of 90 runs, which could have been more if not for a fantastic last over bowled by Joce Hallam. Joce claimed 5 wickets with a combination of run outs and straight bowling at the wicket to peg back their opponents late in the innings.

This last over ultimately made all the difference. Willoughby's innnings batted saw matters almost level pegging on runs per over, with captains Clare Hewitt & Gemma Midwood making a good start with the batting. However it was left to Josie Hallam and Emma Cresswell to finish off matters, grabbing the one run off the last over to make it a hat-trick of successes.

The latest Final success ended another good season on a high for Willoughby Ladies, with yet again another great all round team effort - well done girls.
