Afro win means successive 1st success (27th June)

Willoughby (183 for 5 – 20 pts) beat Afro Caribbean (182 all out – 6 pts) by 5 wickets

Willoughby: Bhavik Solanki 89, Jonny Cumiskey 60, Tony McCourtie 2-26

Afro Caribbean: Cedric Miller 49, Tony McCourtie 29, Lee Johnson 5-52

A tidy second successive victory for Willoughby means they finish the first half of the campaign with some confidence.

Visitors Afro Caribean can be an unpredictable outfit at the best of times, and batting first they set a useful total being bowled out for 182; Lee Johnson taking 5 for 52.

In reply, Bhavik Solanki was in fine form hitting 89, and supported by Jonny Cumiskey with 60 were the main contributors to the hosts reaching their target for the loss of five wickets.

The win gives Willoughby a useful bit of breathing space in mid-table at the halfway stage, yet still within relative touching distance of the promotion chasers
