Rain on Friday and Saturday morning put paid to hopes of any cricket for Willoughby on Saturday.

Both the 1st XI's short trip for a derby game with Dunchurch & Bilton, and the 'A' side's home meeting with their Middleton Cheney counterparts were cancelled.

The same applied to Willoughby's scheduled trip to tackle Norton Lindsey in a club friendly with the game there also called off, meaning a weekend where literally a single ball was not bowled in anger
