In addition to our weekly coaching sessions for our under 13 and Under 15 teams, Willoughby will once again be also running their popular Kwik Cricket sessions this summer.
Our very popular Kwik Cricket programme has been running for nearly 20 years and is essentially the entry level for starting to play and learn about cricket. The emphasis is very much on fun, participation and enjoyment with Kwik Cricket specifically tailored for children up to the age of 11 for the development of basic bowling, batting and fielding skills, all using blue plastic bats and stumps and soft orange balls.
Over the years we have seen many of our junior cricketers start off with Kwik Cricket before moving into the hard ball game and then through the junior/youth age group levels into senior cricket; case in point being the Under 15s from last year who finished their junior/youth cricket days in 2018 with most of the team having started together when they were 7 or 8.
Our Kwik Cricket at Willoughby normally gets underway in early May, running through to July, with the sessions being held on Sunday mornings from 10.00 to 11.30am.
If you have a boy or girl aged 6-10 years or know of someone who is keen to get into cricket and try the game for the first time, come and join us in May.
