Club Tour 2012

There......we're off and running so discuss at your leisure.
The Club Tour was a subject brought up towards the back end of the season, with several (in fact, many) keen on bringing back a Tour for September 2012.
After a few year's break,. it would not be a bad idea to get something off the ground for the traditional 1st weekend of September, even if it is just somewhere an hour or so away and overnight, with a game on the Saturday or Sunday.
Thoughts anyone?

Sid Ivens Memorial Evening

As many of you are probably aware, the late Sid Ivens died 10 years ago.

We have now heard from Mr Iven's family that they would like to hold a function in memory of him and have as many club members and officials as possible from the club to attend.

The function will be held at the cricket club on Friday evening 17th February, the anniversary of his passing.

There will be a buffet and of course the bar.

Bottle Bingo Night a success

Monday's Bottle Bingo Night was again a successful evening and fundraiser for the club.

We raised about £230 for the club funds.

Many thanks to everyone who attended and also for the many kind donations including from Natalie Wiltshire. Lee Johnson, Matt Goss, Stuart Hall and Graham Hallam (there were others, but Steve T cannot recall them at the time of writing)

Many thanks again

Donation from The Lord's Taverners

Bit of good news during the early part of the close season, for the 2012 season.
Having submitted an application to The Lord's Taverners, we have been successful in being awarded and receiving a brand new Under 11 hard ball kit bag.
This is to go towards the healthy and ever-increasing younger contingent interested in playing for the club; in this case for our new Under 11 team which we will be fielding in 2012.
